THERE'S HIDDEN MICKEYS IN PARIS TOO
Mrs. Pianoman and I travelled to Paris recently, and as part of the trip we visited Disneyland Paris and Disney Adventure World. We didn't set out to find Hidden Mickeys, but some of them seemed to find us!
There's a site called "Julie Ears", and I think it might be someone from the UK. Anyway, she has found several Hidden Mickeys, and has them pretty well organized on her site. Worth checking out if you are in Paris and wish to look for Mickeys during your visit: Julie Ears Hidden Mickeys
CARS LAND - MOST POPULAR SEARCH
Google recently changed the URL that they've been tracking, from www.hiddenmickey.com, to just hiddenmickey.com. This is probably cleaner, I guess. So I was looking at the stats for searches, and it turns out that Cars Land is by far the most popular search. Second place was the Anaheim Resort.
If it was just raw number of Hidden Mickeys, I would have expected the number one search to be in Toon Town. That land has 79 confirmed Hidden Mickeys, which is more than triple the next most populated land (Fantasyland, at 24).
Maybe the Disneyland side just hasn't been discovered yet? Or maybe I'm just getting a lot of hits from the same few people who love Cars Land, and go there all the time. Who knows. I just think it's strange.
I also saw that the checklists are being used, and that's great news. The data persists as I'm using cookies to store changes, so the checklists can be used to keep track of which Mickeys you've seen already.
In other reporting news, mobile users are over 81% of total users. 18% are web desktop users, and 1% are tablet users. That all makes sense to me -- the site is best used while standing in line.
I'm sure these results will change as the site continues to gain in popularity. Should be interesting to see what the numbers look like a year from now.
RUNAWAY RAILWAY 100 CHALLENGE UPDATE - STUCK AT 61 MICKEYS
Lost one and gained one, so we're still locked in at 61. Mrs. Pianoman spotted a "banner Mickey" hanging overhead just as you enter the city area, but it's in the dark and hard to get a picture of. We'll keep trying until we nail it. It's the second banner from the left.
